This standard applies to a primer suitable for interior and exterior use on steel and light alloy surfaces, aboard ships and for other marine structures under conditions of marine atmosphere and intermittent immersion in salt water.
This primer is suitable for use as a corrosion-inhibiting primer on properly prepared or pretreated light-alloy metal or steel surfaces, either alone or alkyd topcoated.
